Fall Bucket List

Happy September! Can you even believe how fast this year is going by? Cold weather and holiday season are going to be here in the blink of an eye and I. Cannot. Wait! I've already been thinking about all of the fun activities I want to do this fall, so today I'm sharing my fall bucket list! I can't wait to hear what you have planned, too, so let me know your favorite fall activities in the comments below!

Fall Bucket List

1. DIY fall-inspired home decor

Crafting is one of my favorite hobbies and the fall season is always the perfect time for it! I LOVE decorating plastic pumpkins that'll last all season, putting together gorgeous fall floral arrangements and creating DIY Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween decorations to get in the fall spirit!

2. Find the best seasonal beers

Seasonal beers are always WAY better, so this fall I'm going to try as many seasonal beers as I can... and I'm sure my boyfriend will be happy to try this one out with me 😉 There's nothing better than spending time outside on a crisp fall night with a fall-inspired beer!

3. Spend the day at a park to enjoy the fall scenery

Fall is by far one of the prettiest seasons and there are so many adorable parks in NJ, so what better time to take advantage of them than fall?! I want to try to spend as much time as I can enjoying the fall scenery and maybe even have a picnic in the park!

4. Attend a few food truck festivals

Does anyone else think that food truck festivals are just a dream come true? The atmosphere, the food, and the friends and family you enjoy it with all make food trucks such a great experience. If you're in NJ, check out Laurita Winery's fall food truck festivals... they are TOO good to miss!

5. Have a beach day

Yup, you read that right! The beach is my favorite place in the world so I find it just as enjoyable spending time there even when it's chilly. Doesn't a day at the beach with your BF or best girl friends all cuddled up in sweatshirts and jeans sound just perfect?!

6. Watch Halloween throwback movies

ABC Family and Disney have THE best Halloween throwback movies and I know you know what I'm talkin about! Halloweentown, Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas and my personal favorite, Twitches, are just a few of the spooky movies that we all loved when we were younger. I can't wait to watch as many of those oldies but goodies as I can this season!

7. Go to a pumpkin patch

This is about as basic as it gets but I've never actually been to a pumpkin patch (at least that I can remember!) so this is one thing that I definitely have to do this year! I'm also looking forward to carving pumpkins (which I haven't done in YEARS!) and decorating the front porch with them!

8. Fill my house with fall-scented candles

We all know that fall scents are the best ones, so I've already started stocking up on candles from Bath & Body Works and Yankee Candle. My personal favorites from Bath & Body Works that I know you'll love too are Marshmallow Fireside, Flannel, Leaves and Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla. These scents will make you crave chillier weather and big sweaters!

9. Get started early on holiday shopping

I say this every year and it never happens but this year I'm trying to change my ways! Holiday shopping is always such a big task, so it's better to get started early — otherwise, you may be left stressed out at the last minute.

10. Give back and be grateful!

That's what this season is all about, after all! Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner whether you're ready or not, so be sure to make the most of it by giving back, paying it forward, putting a smile on people's faces and always being grateful.

What are you looking forward to doing this season? Let me know in the comments below so I can add your favorite fall activities to my own bucket list!
